WHAT?

Prevention is a large part of health care and refers to the prevention of specific diseases (primary prevention) and/or identifying them early so that their negative effects can be limited (secondary prevention). Examples include screening, vaccination and health education. As an individual, you can also engage in prevention by consuming healthy foods, implementing adequate physical activity, not smoking or quitting smoking, and limiting alcohol consumption.
